OUR STORY
REMESA: Energy that Transforms the Future
Among our most notable achievements is the construction of the Nacaome and Valle Photovoltaic Park, one of the largest solar projects in Latin America. This plant is located in southern Honduras, in the municipality of Nacaome, 102 km from the capital, along the CA-1 highway, at coordinates (WGS84 Datum): Latitude 14°94’96″N and Longitude 44°00’81″W. Its main entrance and center are located at 43°91’75” and 14°94’517″, at 30 meters above sea level.
The project was completed in a record time of just 10 months, starting in August 2014 and finishing in June 2015. The park has a peak generation capacity of 144 MW, thanks to the installation of 480,480 solar modules across a 400-hectare area.
This plant represents 8.1% of Honduras’ energy matrix, strengthening its energy independence and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. It contributes to a cleaner future with lower environmental and economic costs for the country.
